Whuh? Sure, the A's lost Mulder and Hudson, but it isn't like they didn't get anything in return. The starting pitching should be at least serviceable, and the additions of Jason Kendall and Charles Thomas will do wonders for the offense. In any case there's no question but that they're the second best team in the AL West, since Texas still hasn't proved they can pitch and the Mariners look like a mess. Look for Oakland to finish above .500.
